摘要

Caragana korshinskii, with its well-developed root system and strong drought resistance, is a pioneer plant for desertification control in arid and semi-arid regions. Conducting long-term identification and monitoring of Caragana korshinskii is of great significance for assessing the ecological benefits of vegetation-based desertification control measures in these regions. This study takes the Ningxia Haba Lake National Nature Reserve as the research area. Based on multi-source remote sensing, the random forest model, and Google Earth Engine inverses and dynamically monitors the spatial distribution characteristics of Caragana korshinskii over the past 20 years in areas of the reserve. Over the past 20 years, the area of Caragana korshinskii in the study area has shown a declining trend, with degradation mainly occurring in the southwestern, northern, and some eastern parts of the study area. Local conservation agencies should take timely measures to curb the degradation of Caragana korshinskii through scientific monitoring and ecological restoration. The findings of this study provide a scientific basis for the protection and restoration of Caragana korshinskii and other typical desertification control plants, and offer references for the assessment of ecological environment restoration in other desertified areas.
