摘要

This study determines the ecological impacts of Rural Residential Land Consolidation (RRLC) in Feicheng City, China. A comprehensive index system was developed to measure the rural ecological environment, and the entropy method was applied to assess 22 regions. Utilizing the synthetic control method to establish a quasi-natural experiment, the analysis reveals that RRLC has a significantly positive effect on the rural ecological environment since its implementation in 2009. The policy effects intensified each year until 2017, after which a slight decline occurred, attributed to diminishing policy support. These findings highlight the potential of RRLC in enhancing ecological conditions and offer valuable insights for other developing countries seeking to optimize resource allocation and improve environmental quality amid rapid urbanization.
