Menace of waste rubber contamination in public health and environment around world of automobile industrialization: a review

The effects of discarded rubber accessories on the environment and human health are a significant problem in many countries, particularly in developing countries. Discarded rubber accessories require recycling and reuse practices. Finding viable techniques and strategies that allow for a high degree of waste rubber recovery for a clean and justifiable evolution is the foundation of this study. Another example of man’s anthropogenic actions that put the environment and people at risk is the burning of discarded rubber. A previous study noted that nearly 98% of Nigeria's waste rubber is improperly treated, posing a threat to the environment and public health. A visual representation of the keywords utilized by the most frequently referenced authors in the research domain was generated to identify various study titles. Hazardous substances released into the air, water, and land by waste rubber have the potential to cause varied degrees of harm to humans. To date, the inappropriate use of waste rubber has a significant adverse impact on the environment. Recycling, bioremediation, and hazardous removal techniques are recommended as remedies. This study aims to raise residents’ awareness of the dangers of the inappropriate disposal of waste rubber. An environmentally beneficial method of recovering leftover rubber is to recycle it into thermoplastic.
