摘要

This work considers a numerical study of the spread of pollutants emitted by vehicles in a residential area of Almaty, consisting of several buildings and educational buildings, which are located on both sides of the road from the roadway. By constructing the quarter, special attention was paid to choosing the optimal barrier height to improve air quality, taking into account various external factors. Numerical modeling was used to solve the problem. The mathematical model was based on the averaged Reynolds equation, taking into account the buoyancy force, the equation for temperature and the equation for concentration transfer. The SIMPLE algorithm was used to numerically solve the problem. To maximize the approximation to reality, the mathematical model took into account the influence of wind direction, changes in temperature on the surface of the roadway and the environment, which depends on time and air humidity. Calculations were made for the period from 9 am to 9 pm (12 noon). From the obtained numerical solutions, it was determined that regardless of the type of pollution, the presence of barriers along the road has a beneficial effect on pedestrian areas. A 4-m barrier was chosen as the most suitable height. It should also be noted that taking into account air humidity significantly changes the nature of the distribution of concentrations and temperature changes over time in a residential area. It was also found that the presence of barriers has a beneficial effect on the local area, in which the average concentration value decreases more than 10 times for the pedestrian zone located on the left side and more than 5 times for the pedestrian zone located on the right side compared to the option without a barrier. As we can see, the numerical results obtained when conducting modeling for the distribution of pollutants in a residential area taking into account external factors differ significantly compared to without taking into account air humidity.
