Mechanisms of 45-degree Precipitate Coarsening in IN 713C Alloy During Low Cycle Fatigue Deformation at 650°C

This paper investigates the mechanism of 45° γ′ coarsening in IN 713C alloy during low cycle fatigue deformation at 650°C and strain amplitude of 0.6%. The EBSD and TEM examinations revealed that the high deformation heterogeneity results in the formation of slip bands in specific regions, which ultimately promotes the coarsening of γ′ along 45° to the cyclic loading direction.
