Haalbaarheid van prehabilitatie bij cystectomie: de eerste resultaten
摘要
There is limited research on the feasibility of prehabilitation in patients undergoing radical cystectomy. In this prospective study, 15 patients participated in a multimodal prehabilitation program, including physical training, nutritional support, psychological counseling, and, when necessary, smoking cessation guidance. The high completion rate (80%) indicates good feasibility of the program. The complication rate was 27% in the prehabilitation group and 60% in the control group. The length of hospital stay in the prehabilitation group appeared to be shorter. Additionally, a higher number of patients in the prehabilitation group received neoadjuvant chemotherapy (8/15). These preliminary findings suggest that prehabilitation is feasible and may offer potential benefits for patients undergoing cystectomy, although further research is required.
