Case Report. Desmopressine en alcohol: een levensbedreigende combinatie

We describe a case of a 22-year old patient who went in a coma and was admitted to the Intensive Care unit after consuming alcohol in combination with desmopressin. Cerebral edema was diagnosed, blood tests revealed a sodium level of 117 mmol/L. The reasons leading to these events are discussed, as well as preventive measures.
