<p>We introduce a new class of periodic/anti-periodic type boundary conditions with respect to the initial and final segments of the given domain. Equipped with the proposed conditions, we discuss the existence of solutions for a fractional differential equation. We apply the standard tools of the fixed point theory to establish the desired results. Our results are novel in the given configuration and open a new avenue for boundary value problems subject to segmental type periodic/anti-periodic boundary conditions.</p>
