Optical Properties of CaSiO3 Powders Modified with Gd2O3, SiO2, and CeO2 Nanoparticles
摘要
The article demonstrates how various types of Gd2O3, SiO2, and CeO2 nanopowders affect the diffuse reflectance spectra of CaSiO3 micropowder in the course of the latter’s modification (0.5–10 wt%). It has been established that upon modification the reflectance of CaSiO3 micropowder decreases within 200 to 700 nm and increases up to 2500 nm in a longer wavelength area whereas the bandgap width decreases. An explanation to the established patterns has been provided. These results might be of practical and theoretical relevance for the development of new highly reflective coatings and materials based on various nanoparticle-modified micropowders.
