Special Issue of the Asian Journal of Business Ethics on Global Survey of Business Ethics (GSBE) reports 2022–2024 from Asia, Australia, and Russia — China: Macau
摘要
This study examines the current state of business ethics in Macau, a special administrative region of China. Using data collected through structured interviews with researchers, educators, public servants, and business practitioners, the study identifies key focus areas of business ethics in Macau. It explores themes related to the teaching and research of business ethics in higher education institutions, as well as ethics training within the public and private sectors. The findings suggest that while the Macao SAR government is aware of ethical issues in gambling-related businesses, additional efforts are required in training and regulation. The study also highlights that higher education institutions have made significant contributions to business ethics education and research, which have positively influenced the development of business ethics in Macau.
