摘要

The current research determined the synthesis of magnesium oxide nanoparticles (AM-MgO NPs) via a green chemistry approach using an aqueous extract of A. muricata leaf and examined its structural characterization and potential applications. Various spectroscopic techniques investigated the structural characterization of as-produced AM-MgO NPs. The results showed that AM-MgO NPs were spherical, crystalline, with an average particle size of 19 nm and thermal stable. AM-MgO NPs show significantly antioxidant activity, confirmed by the DPPH assay, and IC50 value was 150.6 µg. AM-MgO NPs may be used as antioxidant agents. The concentration of 60 mg/mL of AM-MgO NPs enhanced the germination of Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds and shoot (23.0 ± 1.0) and root (6.1 ± 0.2 mm) formation. Our results suggest that AM-MgO NPs fabricated through implementing eco-friendly techniques can be utilized for various biomedical and agricultural applications.
