Bimetallic Cobalt–Silver MOF-Catalyzed Electroreductive Suzuki Coupling in Aqueous Medium Using a Flow Reactor
摘要
An electrochemical-driven Suzuki coupling reaction in an aqueous medium has been achieved using a cobalt–silver metal–organic framework (Co–Ag–MOF) electrocatalyst. The Co–Ag–MOF catalyst was synthesized via the solvothermal route, deposited directly on a copper foam support and served as a cathode electrode. The synthesized Co–Ag–MOF electrocatalyst exhibited agglomerated morphological structures with a modest surface area and a uniform distribution of Co and Ag, with Ag enrichment resulting from its preferential coordination with the BTC ligand. Under basic conditions, the Co–Ag–MOF promotes the coupling of aryl halides with phenylboronic acid in high yields (> 60%) within minutes under ambient conditions. This work demonstrates the use of Co–Ag–MOF as an efficient and sustainable electrocatalyst for aqueous C–C bond formation.
