This comment concerns the inconsistencies in the model development, serious mathematical mistakes and numerical errors in the above-mentioned study by Ebrahimi and Mokhtari (Arab J Sci Eng 41:577–590, 2016) . The main sources of error are discovered and mentioned along with the correct formulations and results.
