Disrupting the Status Quo: Blockchain’s Potential for Overhauling Conventional Academic Systems
摘要
This paper explores the transformative potential of blockchain technology in reshaping conventional academic systems. By examining the foundational principles and operational mechanics of both traditional academic processes and blockchain, we reveal compelling synergies that can address long-standing challenges such as credential verification, publication biases, and research funding transparency. We introduce real-world case studies that underscore the feasibility and advantages of these blockchain-driven innovations. However, while the benefits of blockchain integration are manifold, significant challenges—ranging from technological maturation to institutional resistance—are discussed. Through a nuanced analysis, this study provides a comprehensive perspective on how blockchain can disrupt the status quo, bringing about more transparent, efficient, and inclusive academic systems for the future.
