<p>Longevity is correlated with several demographic traits and is a key parameter used to examine life history strategies and population dynamics. However, estimating longevity in wild populations is challenging and poorly documented for many species. Additionally, the percentage of older individuals is rarely reported for wild mammals. We used age-at-death data from harvested populations of free-ranging American marten (<i>Martes americana</i>; <i>n</i> = 2,390), wolverine (<i>Gulo gulo</i>; <i>n</i> = 1,354), and Canada lynx (<i>Lynx canadensis</i>; <i>n</i> = 361) from the Yukon (Canada) to document (1) maximum age (longevity), and (2) the percentage of the adult population that was older (≥ 10 years old). We found minimal differences between sexes. The maximum age of marten, wolverine, and lynx in our sample were 15, 12, and 13 years old, respectively. None of these represented published longevity records for the species in the wild, but they were all close to those records, providing credence to previously reported maximum ages for each species. The proportion of adults in the population that were ≥ 10 years old was ≤ 6.3% for marten, ≤ 2.3% for wolverine, and ≤ 8.4% for lynx. Our data supports available information on the maximum age and provides new data on the percentage of older individuals in wild populations of these three species of small carnivores (≤ 21.5&#xa0;kg). Our study used data from harvested populations and similar data from populations with no trapping would help further determine their longevity in the wild; however, these data would be difficult to obtain. Better information on the population ecology and life history strategies of small carnivores is needed to aid in their conservation.</p>
