<p>Tele-training for parent-mediated intervention in children with cerebral palsy has been inadequately evaluated against conventional face-to-face training. In this pilot randomized controlled trial, 40 parents of children aged 6–60&#xa0;months with cerebral palsy were randomized to tele-training via WhatsApp (<i>n</i> = 20) or in-person training (<i>n</i> = 20). After 6&#xa0;months, the mean (SD) improvement in Goal Attainment Scale (GAS) T-score was comparable between the tele-training and in-person groups [24.97 (14.50) vs 28.17 (10.86); <i>P</i> = 0.476]. Follow-up compliance was also similar (90% vs 80%; <i>P</i> = 0.660). Most parents reported positive experiences with tele-training. These findings suggest that WhatsApp-based tele-training is a feasible and potentially effective alternative to conventional parent training for early intervention in children with cerebral palsy.</p>
