Precision medicine offers a tailored approach to managing eGDM, emphasizing individualized treatment plans to optimize outcomes and minimize harm. Future research should focus on refining diagnostic criteria, identifying phenotypes early, and implementing personalized management strategies. This commentary highlights the need for a nuanced understanding of eGDM to improve maternal and neonatal health.</p>
