摘要
This review examines “Genome to Om”, a book that integrates modern scientific advances with Indian philosophical traditions. Authored by Bhushan Patwardhan and Indu Ramchandani, the work traverses genomics, biotechnology, consciousness studies, and ethical issues, while incorporating perspectives from Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedanta. It addresses the origins of life, mind–brain relationships, and identity through both scientific and philosophical lenses, advocating a holistic approach to global wellbeing. The authors emphasize ethical standards in research and propose integrating traditional Indian practices with modern science to foster responsible innovation. This review assesses the book’s thematic breadth, interdisciplinary value, accessibility, and areas where critical reflection could enhance its impact.
