Xanthogranulomatous Surprise in the Gartner’s Duct: An Extremely Rare Encounter

Introduction
Gartner’s duct cysts are rare benign vaginal lesions derived from Wolffi an duct remnants. Xanthogranulomatous inflammation (XGI) is an uncommon chronic inflammatory condition rarely reported in the female genital tract.
Case ReportA 45-year-old multiparous woman presented with vaginal mass and discharge for 6 months. Imaging revealed a 5×3 cm anterolateral vaginal cyst. Excision was performed, and histopathology confirmed xanthogranulomatous inflammation involving the Gartner’s duct cyst wall without malignancy.
ConclusionThis rare entity highlights the importance of histopathological evaluation for accurate diagnosis.
