An Unprecedented Case of HPV Negative Cervical Condyloma in a Virgin Teenager
摘要
Background
Condyloma acuminatum is a benign HPV-related lesion, rarely reported in adolescents without sexual exposure.
CaseA 15-year-old girl presented with vaginal discharge and a polypoidal cervical mass. Examination revealed a 4 × 2.5 cm cauliflower-like lesion arising from the cervix. Pelvic ultrasound was normal, and HPV DNA testing was negative. Complete excision was performed, and histopathology confirmed condyloma acuminatum. The patient received HPV vaccination postoperatively.
ConclusionCervical condyloma can occur in adolescents without sexual exposure, possibly via non-sexual transmission. Histopathology is diagnostic, and excision is curative. Counseling is essential to address stigma and reassure patients and families.
