Introduction <p>Bladder exstrophy is a rare congenital anomaly affecting multiple systems, often leading to pelvic organ prolapse in adolescence. Its prevalence is 1 per 50,000 live births.</p> Case <p>We report a case of a 16-year-old girl with congenital bladder exstrophy, repaired during the neonatal period with the Mitrofanoff procedure, presenting with third-degree uterovaginal prolapse. Despite normal urinary function through self-catheterization, she experienced progressive prolapse over 3&#xa0;years. Surgical correction using vaginal sacrospinous fixation successfully resolved her symptoms, with no complications.</p> Conclusion <p>This case highlights the challenges of managing uterovaginal prolapse in young patients with bladder exstrophy and the effectiveness of uterus-preserving surgical interventions like sacrospinous fixation.</p>

Introduction

Bladder exstrophy is a rare congenital anomaly affecting multiple systems, often leading to pelvic organ prolapse in adolescence. Its prevalence is 1 per 50,000 live births.

Case

We report a case of a 16-year-old girl with congenital bladder exstrophy, repaired during the neonatal period with the Mitrofanoff procedure, presenting with third-degree uterovaginal prolapse. Despite normal urinary function through self-catheterization, she experienced progressive prolapse over 3 years. Surgical correction using vaginal sacrospinous fixation successfully resolved her symptoms, with no complications.

Conclusion
