摘要

We report the draft genome sequence of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Choleraesuis strain GS-198, isolated from retail poultry meat in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. The draft genome comprised 87 contigs with a total length of 4,937,349 bp and a G + C content of 52.2%. The estimated N50 of the genome assembly was 174,152 bp. Out of 4,873 genes, 4,576 were protein-coding genes, 117 were RNA genes (77 tRNAs, 12 ncRNAs, and 28 rRNAs), and 217 were pseudogenes. This multidrug-resistant strain also harboured key resistance and virulence genes, raising concern about its zoonotic and public health relevance.
