Analysis of foam-assisted lift effect and improvement measures in Sebei loose sandstone gas field
摘要
Upon analyzing the performance of foam-assisted lift (FAL) in the Sebei loose sandstone gas field in Qinghai, it was found that the average incremental gas production of individual wells has decreased year by year. To identify the reasons for the decrease, a self-developed fuzzy quantitative evaluation method was used to assess the FAL effect on 162 gas wells. The method focused on four metrics, namely, daily gas production, daily water production, the difference between tubing and casing pressures, and the daily cost of foam agent injection. A comprehensive evaluation index D was calculated using the membership relationship of metrics, weight coefficient of each evaluation metric, and fuzzy relation synthesis operator. The performance of FAL was good when D was greater than 20. The wells had common characteristics: (a) gas production was higher than 3000 m3/d; (b) water production was 2–20 m3/d; (c) tubing-casing pressure difference was 0.8–3 MPa. Analysis of the foaming agent properties indicated another reason for poor FAL performance: the foaming agent used in the field performed poorly in high-salinity reservoirs. In view of these two reasons, corresponding improvement measures were proposed: (a) the gas production, water production, and tubing-casing pressure difference of the gas wells before FAL should match the characteristics outlined in this paper; (b) a nanoparticle foaming agent with high salinity tolerance was developed and used in the wells. The 15 pilot tests indicated that gas and water production increased by 9% and 31%, respectively, and the tubing-casing pressure difference decreased by 4%.
