Bibliometric analysis on current trends, technology and innovations in women and children healthcare for sustainable economies

Recent advancements in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and IoT have impacted our lives in various ways and healthcare is one of them. Incorporation of these technologies in healthcare sector has revolutionized the whole health care management ecosystems of countries, improving their economies significantly and achieving sustainable developmental goals. Considering, women and children healthcare as a significant factor in a country’s sustainable economy, stakeholders are investing huge amount of resources for research and development in this area specifically. The study presented here focuses on role of these significant technologies and research initiatives taken with regard to wellbeing of women and children through a thorough bibliometric analysis. Bibliometric analysis helps researchers and institutions assess the impact, productivity, and research trends within a specific field of study through visual as well as quantitative analysis. The study presented in this paper quantitatively evaluates and analyses scholarly publications, typically focusing on aspects such as the number of publications, citation patterns, collaboration networks, and other bibliographic information in the domain of women and children healthcare. This analysis is based on the publications database retrieved from the Scopus indexing platform. Multidimensional analysis of the extracted data using different softwares such as ‘Vosviewer’, ‘Biblioshiny’ and ‘Excel’ indicates significant research activity in this domain. The conducted bibliometric analysis indicates quite interesting facts such as author named ‘Mats Granuld’ work is highly recognized and highly cited, Journal named "Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology" is the most influential publication platform in this domain which indicates significant and continuous publication of related research in this journal. The leading contributors to this research field primarily belong to the countries such as USA, China, and India indicating substantial research activity in these continents. Further, the study also identifies key authors along with their primary research areas, impact of publications, collaboration networks, and publication platforms which would guide researchers in this field to make informed decisions regarding effective research strategies, funding possibilities, and academic resource management for a positive outcome in this socially significant area of research and achieve sustainable development goal.
