<p>The study unravels management interns’ perceptions of the factors influencing skill development during virtual internships. A cross-sectional design was employed for the research study. An online self-reported questionnaire was administered to collect responses from management interns from diverse management institutes belonging to a university in northern India. Structural equation modelling was used to test the hypotheses. The study unveils that skill development is one of the crucial outcomes of virtual internships. Factors such as mentors’ contribution (faculty and industry), interns’ contribution and internet efficacy are mainly responsible for skills such as communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and critical thinking during virtual internships. The present study has implications for academia as well as industries.</p>
