<p>Climate change results in extreme weather conditions, melting glaciers, disease outbreaks, and crop destruction, jeopardizing food security at the global level and posing significant challenges to human existence. Solving complex problems requires creative responses from citizens, corporations, governments, local authorities, and policymakers, with a key emphasis on promoting public awareness of climate change and its effects. Effective climate action, however, calls for the transformation of citizen’s behavior. To make this possible, strong quantification and objective procedures are required to measure, monitor, and evaluate public participation, discussion, and information flow concerning climate action so that policymakers may reoptimize strategies accordingly. This research proposes a novel approach to examining climate action discourse using social media dialogues with the help of sophisticated natural language processing, sentiment analysis, and machine learning models in spatial and temporal contexts. The study assesses the climate action comments of Indian citizens on social media between 2015 and 2023. The findings indicate the most important insights, where 2020 recorded the maximum engagement score of 1.6672, reflecting a considerable increase in public involvement. Engagement was high in 2021 with a score of 1.6666, and the momentum score of 0.7107 reflects a high positive trend, showing a dramatic recovery or growth in participation. This study provides actionable evidence and novel methods for climate action research and brings to policymakers and government officials key data to inform future interventions and improve strategies to address climate change.</p>
