<p>Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable technological advancements across the globe. This study explores the interdependence between FDI and emergent green technologies in India by adopting a mixed-methods research approach that integrates secondary data from government and industry sources with primary data collected through structured surveys and expert interviews. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to analyze how consumer perceptions such as perceived usefulness, ease of use, and behavioral intention influence the adoption of FDI-driven green technologies. This helped link foreign investment effects with consumer acceptance in the Indian context. Key findings reveal that FDI acts as a catalyst for green technology diffusion, facilitating innovation, industrial development, and knowledge transfer. Additionally, consumer acceptance is positively impacted by foreign brand credibility and supportive policy incentives. The study offers policy and managerial recommendations to enhance FDI inflows and accelerate India’s transition to a low-carbon economy, emphasizing the importance of regulatory stability, infrastructure readiness, and targeted incentives in maximizing the sustainable impact of foreign investments.</p>
