<p>The environment cris 19 pandemic has created an alarming situation for entire human kind towards sustainable practices. As Gen Z is entering into the work world, it is important that they reflect the concern towards the sustainability in their attitude. Their conscious attitude for society, environment and economy will help them to take sound decisions in their business. They are going to be the upcoming leaders for building a sustainable future for existing and imminent workforce. It is an empirical study conducted on 300 MBA students of Tricity (Chandigarh, Pachkula and Mohali). A structured questionnaire, derived from the study of as reported by Olsson (in: Young People's “Sustainability Consciousness": Effects of ESD Implementation in Swedish Schools (Licentiate thesis), 2014) was used to collect the primary data. The data was collected on a five point likert scale. Descriptive Analysis was done using SPSS 18. The initial test results confirmed that the test and scale are appropriate to measure the conscious attitude of the young business leaders. The outcome reflects that student’s consciousness towards all the three dimensions of sustainability attitude is moderate. Furthermore, there are no significance differences between male and female viewpoints on the social and economic aspects of sustainability, but there are notable differences between their perspectives on the environment. The study also shows that there is no significant correlation between gender, age, work experience, MBA specialization, and sustainability awareness. Overall, these students attained higher score in social dimension. With the increasing need of sustainable development and growth, this study serves as a basis for sustainability consciousness of the University level students. This study is a preliminary examination of the areas that young, aspiring leaders may need to concentrate on in order to acquire leadership skills that will enable them to address complex social, economic, and environmental challenges.</p>
