Modeling the enablers for sustainable adoption of water ionizers: an ISM-MICMAC approach
摘要
Literature is evident of research work pertaining to water sustainability. Plenty of ways have been described in the past wherein energy efficient and water quality devices have gained good consideration of researchers. Amongst this theme, water ionizers have fetched significant attention in recent years due to their potential benefits for human health and the environment. The objective of research on water ionization technology, sustainable practices, and consumer behaviour is to empirically analyse and clarify the factors that impact the consumers’ perception and adoption of water ionizers. Firstly, this study explores the enablers for the sustainable adoption of water ionizers using an Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) approach establishing contextual relationships among these factors, which results in hierarchical structure in the form of digraph. Secondly, MICMAC analysis approach to categorize and identifying factors based on driving power and dependence power aiming to construct a comprehensive framework that highlights the critical variables influencing the adoption process. This dual approach not only provides valuable insights into the dynamics of water ionizer adoption but also facilitates the development of targeted strategies to promote or mitigate specific influences. The findings of this study are expected to contribute significantly to the understanding of sustainable technology adoption and offer practical implications for stakeholders aiming to enhance the acceptance and utilization of water ionizers. Questionnaires are thoughtfully crafted to gather precise responses, ultimately providing valuable insights for manufacturers and policymakers. The research hypothesizes that the ISM-MICMAC model effectively identifies and emphasizes product features and environmental sustainability as critical factors contributing to the health benefits that drive the sustainable adoption of water ionizers.
