A study of factors affecting behavior intention of tourists towards unified payments interface adoption in Delhi-NCR region

The Number of travelers that use online payment methods has dramatically expanded in recent times. The Unified Payment Interface is among the payment methods of gaining major popularity. The objective of this research, is to investigate how tourists want to utilize and moderate effect of transaction barriers of UPI in India. The Research model is developed into two stages: First, Examine the DOI theory attribute promotional benefits and trust, on the components of the Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model are taken in the first and then investigates the UTAUT 2 and diffusion theory attributes on behavior intention. A quantitative technique is used to validation our proposed hypothesis. A total of 802 valid sample for research gather through online questionnaire in the region of Delhi-NCR, India. Using SmartPLS 4.0 software of PLS-SEM algorithm to evaluate the obtained data. In this research, we tested the impact of relative advantage, facilitating conditions, price value and habits on behavior intention, also check the mediating role of transaction barrier on the behavior intention to adoption of UPI. It is the important contribution of our finding, we were not considered in prior studies. This study is useful for the traveler agencies for added one more variable of promotional benefits with UPI payments.
