Optimizing organisation system by focusing on mental wellbeing, substance abuse, counterproductive work behaviour, resilience and stress, using SEM
摘要
Inspired by the principles of Systems Theory, this study explores the modern workplace, as a multifaceted and ever-evolving organization system in which mental wellbeing, stress, resilience, counterproductive work behavior, and substance abuse are interrelated, impacting one another via feedback loops. Thus, our purpose of study was to evaluate a management framework that collectively addresses these constructs connections as well as how to manage them within the workplace. This study used a quantitative descriptive analysis approach, and the research methodology included a survey with standardized questionnaires to collect data from 446 employees. Using SEM, the measurement model demonstrated construct reliability and validity, whereas the structural model examined the strength of linkages. The results show that higher resilience reduced stress, boosting mental wellbeing which acted as a stabilizing influence against substance abuse and counterproductive work behavior. The study emphasizes the complex interplay of workplace mental health variables, adds new insights by offering collective analysis and framework. Its implications suggest strategies and policies focussing on mental wellbeing in maintaining balance for organizational performance and success.
