Triangular neutrosophic set and its application to reliability analysis of gas turbine system
摘要
The design and evaluation of system reliability play a crucial role in determining product competitiveness and ensuring the sustainability of enterprises. However, developing reliable systems and accurately assessing their performance can be challenging due to the incomplete, uncertain, and inconsistent failure information provided by different experts regarding various system components. This difficulty is particularly evident in the reliability assessment of complex systems, where obtaining precise failure data for system components is arduous. To overcome these challenges, this research introduces the concept of the triangular neutrosophic set as a powerful tool for handling uncertainties and imprecise information in the reliability analysis of gas turbine system. Considering truth, indeterminacy, and falsity membership, the triangular neutrosophic number effectively represents the varying degrees of data associated with reliability assessments. The proposed approach also enables the determination of the degree of influence of each basic failure event on the overall gas turbine system failure. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the aforesaid approach, a case study is conducted on a gas turbine system, and the obtained results are compared with some existing reliability calculation approaches.
