摘要

The research work is focused on vibration analysis of rotating equipment’s and is carried out in Vibration Analysis Lab at KLS Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology, Haliyal funded by Vision Group Science and Technology under K-FIST-L2 collaborated with Diagnostic Engineers, Bangalore. The main objective of research work is to predict the behavior of a complex rotor model using Xlrotor technique and obtained results is validated with experimental results. The Xlrotor tool is not only applied at design stage but also it is focused on maintenance stage to predict the behavior of rotor model effectively which cannot be done by other techniques. The Xlrotor technique is followed by various vibration analysts for root cause analysis. Hence, the complex rotor model is considered for vibration analysis to know undamped, damped critical speeds and imbalance response at bearings (end boundary conditions) due to imbalance at various locations. The results clearly highlight a small 10 gm of imbalance in rotor model results high vibration in end boundary conditions (bearings). This study also specifies the proper selection of bearing stiffness and damping properties that cannot be predicted effectively by any other methods. The response is recorded at bearing supports and placement of an imbalance mass at different location of rotor model assembly to predict its behavior and diagnose the model effectively.
