<p>Sustainability and effective packaging solutions play a critical role in reducing environmental impact while maintaining product quality. Ginger widely used in culinary, medicinal, and cosmetic applications, its ecofriendly export packaging is especially important. This study evaluated ten polypropylene and paperwoven packaging options with novel liners under accelerated conditions (38 ± 1&#xa0;°C, 90 ± 2% RH) for over six months to determine optimal materials and specifications for maximum shelf life. The highest moisture content (22.60%) was found in the paper woven bag without a liner. Water activity also peaked at 0.66 in both PP and paper woven bags without liners. Despite this, the ginger’s color and aroma remained unchanged, and no packaging damage was observed during transport-worthiness tests. The paper woven bag demonstrated greater durability, with a seam strength of 26.8 kgf than 21.23 kgf for the PP woven bag, providing better tear resistance. Based on the findings of all the experimental studies and recyclability, the recommended packaging option for the ginger powder is of P9 i.e., Paper woven Bag with Liner III (PE/EVOH/PE – 9 Ply; 70–80 µ), with shelf life of 148 days under accelerated storage conditions (equivalent to 444 days at 27 ± 2&#xa0;°C and 65 ± 2% RH). Paper woven materials exhibit enhanced properties compared to polypropylene (PP) woven materials, making them a promising alternative. Also, the use of paper aligns with sustainability principles due to its biodegradability, renewability, and reduced carbon footprint. Adopting paper woven bags helps reduce reliance on plastic packaging, making this transition essential for advancing sustainability in the packaging industry.</p>
