<p>This quantitative survey-based study examines preschool teachers’ compassion levels and motivation for their career. Its participants consisted of 182 preschool teachers, and the data-collection tools included Adult Compassion Scale and Teacher Motivation Scale. Independent-samples <i>t</i>-testing, one-way analysis of variance, and simple linear regression analysis were used in data analysis. Significant variation in compassion levels was found across teachers’ genders, career experience, place of residence, and whether they had children. Motivation, on the other hand, was significantly associated only with gender and experience. The participants’ compassion scores also significantly predicted their motivation scores. Intervention programs can be prepared to increase compassion, which has a positive effect on the motivation of preschool teachers for a quality preschool education service.</p>
