<p>This study investigates the impact of museum-based art education on the visual perception development of 28 preschool children aged 57–68&#xa0;months. Conducted in the Kocaeli Archaeological Museum during the 2023–2024 academic year, the research employed a mixed-methods exploratory sequential design. 28 children aged 57–68&#xa0;months were divided into experimental and control groups. Data collection tools included daily activity plans, observation forms, video recordings, and the Frostig Developmental Test of Visual Perception (FGAT). Qualitative data were analysed using MAXQDA 2020, and quantitative data were analysed using SPSS 22.0. Due to the participant number being less than 30, non-parametric analysis methods were preferred; the Mann–Whitney U test was used for differences between groups, and the Wilcoxon test was used for within-group changes. Findings revealed significant improvements in the experimental group’s spatial-location and spatial-relations perception skills compared to the control group. The museum’s interactive art activities enriched children’s visual experiences and facilitated skill acquisition through hands-on engagement. Results highlight the critical role of museum-based education in fostering visual perception and creativity in early childhood, emphasizing the value of integrating cultural and artistic experiences into educational frameworks. The study underscores the importance of integrating museum-based art education into early childhood curricula to foster creativity, visual perception, and cultural awareness. These results contribute to the growing body of literature advocating for museums as dynamic educational environments that support holistic child development.</p>
