The Good, The Bad, and The ChatGPT: a Bibliometric Analysis of its Dominance in Natural Language Processing

AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies have been progressing rapidly, and their applications are becoming more viable in diverse fields of life. One recent phenomenon is ChatGPT, which is based on advanced AI tools that have captured global public attention. The current study conducted a detailed literature review and bibliometric analysis to gain insight into the evolution, current trends, and future perspectives. The data is collected from the Scopus database from 2000 to 2023, covering social sciences, economics, business, and finance, and is also based on key technical and computer science literature that supports applications in these areas.
