To understand how these firms can enhance their organizational performance, primary data were collected from 155 firm managers in Brazil. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the relationships between the constructs. The findings revealed that technology transfer and absorptive capacity significantly and positively impact organizational performance. Moreover, technology transfer mediates the relationship between absorptive capacity and organizational performance. This study highlights the critical importance of effectively managing technology transfer and absorptive capacity, as these elements are crucial for achieving competitive advantage and sustainable growth for IT service providers in Brazil. By providing these insights, the research contributes to a deeper understanding of how knowledge-intensive business service firms can optimize their performance and foster innovation within an emerging economy.
