The Knowledgeable Nexus Between Metaverse Startups and SDGs: The Role of Innovations in Community Building and Socio-Cultural Exchange

The present study examines the knowledgeable influence of metaverse startups on technological infrastructure, technology awareness, community engagement, and social impact regarding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The role of innovations in community building and socio-cultural exchange regarding its economic and productivity values are among the main values of the current study from the knowledge-based economy perspective. The study uses quantitative research employing data collection from 815 respondents through online surveys between January and April 2024. The study employs SEM-PLS analysis to assess the correlations between community engagements, technological infrastructure, and its impact on society. The results imply that, especially in light of solid technological infrastructure and high intensity of technological understanding, metaverse startups may improve social effect and community engagement. The study additionally illustrates the potential of the metaverse to advance the SDGs, namely in the areas of industry innovation, infrastructure (SDG 9), and sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), indicating essential areas for future research including cultural variations, long-term implications, and the integration of developing technology; the results provide insightful analysis for legislators, businesses, and academics.
