Objectives <p>This study aims to use bibliometrics to visually analyze the role of the Lamin family in cancer, clarify the current research status, and determine research hotspots and future directions.</p> Methods <p>We searched the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) on January 21, 2025, to identify literature published from January 1, 2005, to December 31, 2024, about the Lamin family (“Lamin A” or “Lamin B1” or “Lamin B2” or “LMNA” or “LMNB1” or " LMNB2”) and “cancer” related literature. The authors, countries, institutions, published journals, literature co-citation, keyword co-occurrence, keyword clustering, and keyword bursts were analyzed using VOSviewer and CiteSpace software to construct a knowledge graph.</p> Results <p>A total of 136 publications were searched for research on the Lamin family in cancer, with the most research in breast (15 publications) and lung (11 publications) cancer. The overall number of publications on the field has increased over time with some fluctuations. China (56 publications) and the United States (30 publications) are the countries with the highest output of publications in this field, and the most prolific institutions and authors are “Central South University” and “xu, xiang-xi”, respectively. Key themes include expression, cancer, tissues, LaminB1. Recent studies have focused on cellular senescence, therapeutic targets, nuclear lamellae, metastasis, and mechanisms, highlighting an expanding field of research. Thus, the role of Lamin family members in cancer development continues to be an emerging area of research.</p> Conclusion <p>By analyzing global scientific research papers, we find that China leads in the “quantity” of research in this field, while the United States excels in “quality” and “impact” To foster better future development, scientists need to target emerging hotspots (such as “therapeutic targets”) and collaborate with more outstanding teams. Administrators should not merely count the number of papers but focus on the quality of research outcomes and the depth of international collaboration.</p>

Objectives
