Green synthesis of metallic nanoparticles has gained substantial interest in the past few years as an environmentally friendly approach. However, pathogenic diseases and pest infestations continue to pose serious challenges to global agriculture, demanding sustainable and effective solutions. The current study explores the novel field of using green-synthesized metallic nanoparticles as a preventative technique for reducing biotic stress in plants. In this study, we will explore the various landscapes of metallic nanoparticles, emphasizing their distinct physicochemical properties and prospective uses. The green synthesis approach not only has an environmental approach, but it also improves plant defense systems by utilizing the antimicrobial capabilities of nanoparticles, hence increasing resilience against numerous pathogenic threats. The study underscores the potential of metallic and metalloid nanoparticles in controlling disease infections and pest attacks. Because these nanoparticles are biocompatible as well as biodegradable, they are appropriate for sustainable agriculture practices. They also serve as biotic stress protectors and inducers of plant immune responses. The complicated interaction of nanoparticles and plants opens up new research paths that necessitate a better knowledge of the underlying mechanisms.
