摘要

Wet chemical precipitation strategy was adopted for the synthesis of copper–barium oxide bimetallic nanoparticles (CuO-BaO NPs). SEM analysis shows that CuO-BaO NPs are present both in the form of clusters and nanorods having size below 700 nm. Synthesis of Cu-Ba oxide NPs is confirmed by FTIR analysis while elemental composition was explained by EDX analysis. The prepared NPs were used for the photodegradation of toxic and stable synthetic safranin dye from the dissolved waste water effluents and degrade about 93% in 10 h. Degradation of safranin dye was also studied by applying various parameters, i.e., catalyst amount, dye concentration, and pH. The sustainability of the CuO-BaO NPs was evaluated by using the recycled particles as the 2nd and 3rd run; CuO-BaO NPs also show promising antibacterial, antioxidant, and antileishmanial activities.
