Ultrahigh Strength over 500 MPa Achieved in a Rare-Earth-Free Dilute Mg-Cu-Based Alloy Fabricated by Low-Temperature Extrusion
摘要
A new low alloyed rare-earth-free Mg-0.7Cu-0.7Zn-0.5Ca-0.1Mn (wt.%) alloy is fabricated by low-temperature extrusion. It demonstrates a super-high yield strength of 501 MPa and an acceptable elongation of 6.4%, attributing to the bimodal microstructure composed of ultrafine DRXed grains (0.65 μm) and fine unDRXed grains (1.62 μm), and nanosized MgZnCu precipitates.
