摘要

The current study examined the mechanical properties of WC-10Co-4Cr and Al₂O₃ coatings on CA6NM steel through scratch tests, microhardness measurements, and microstructural analysis. To determine their wear resistance, hardness, and adhesion quality, scratch tests were conducted with a Diamond Rockwell C indenter with incrementally increasing stress levels. The results revealed that Al₂O₃-coated steel exhibited a lower coefficient of friction (CoF) than WC-10Co-4Cr-coated steel, which may be attributed to the higher apparent scratch hardness of the latter. Scratch tracks of both coatings exhibited features such as pull-outs and microcracking, with fractures being more prevalent near the edges of the Al₂O₃ coating.
