Effect of Deep Cryogenic Treatment on the Frictional Properties of Ball Valve Application Materials AlCrxFeNi1.5Cu0.5 HEA
摘要
In the fields of industrial automation and energy development, ball valves play a vital role. But the service life of ball valves will be reduced due to wear during use. As a new type of material with excellent mechanical properties, high entropy alloy can be used to prepare ball valves. Therefore, in this paper, AlCrxFeNi1.5Cu0.5 (x = 1.0, 1.25, 1.5) high entropy alloy was prepared by vacuum arc melting furnace, and its performance was modified by deep cryogenic treatment. It is found that the as-cast high entropy alloy exhibits excellent mechanical properties and high hardness, and the properties of the high entropy alloy are further improved after 48 h of deep cryogenic treatment. After deep cryogenic treatment, the highest hardness can reach 540.8 HV, and the lowest average friction coefficient can reach 0.315. High entropy alloys are expected to be applied in the field of ball valves, becoming a new generation of ball valve materials with stronger applicability and longer service life. The deep cryogenic treatment process is expected to be applied in the field of ball valves as a ball valve material strengthening process.
