摘要

Coal fire combustion induces massive resource depletion, ecological degradation, and geohazards through persistent combustion. Ground fissures, as a widespread surface deformation and rupture phenomenon induced by the collapse of overlying strata in the burning area, are an important factor in maintaining coal combustion for underground coalfield fire, and represent a key research focus in coalfield fire dynamics. This review systematically examined the mutually reinforcing mechanism between ground fissure development and coal fire spread through four critical dimensions: 1) appearance features of ground fissure development, 2) mechanism of fissure development, 3) mutually reinforcing effect between coal combustion and coal rock fissure development, 4) coalfield fire situation determination. Additionally, we discussed the scientific and technical studies and their advantages, and challenges for mutually reinforcing of the fissure development and coalfield fire spread. Based on this, we determined the future research direction and detail the research content. It is hoped that this comprehensive overview provides important theoretical guidance and practical application value for quickly identifying the trend of coalfield fire spread, effectively improving the ability of coalfield fire disaster risk prediction, and solving the common problems of coal fire control and heat energy utilization.
