Basal Cell Adenoma Arising in the Tongue Minor Salivary Glands: A Rare Case Report
摘要
Basal cell adenoma (BCA) is a rare, benign salivary gland tumour. We present a 67-year-old female with a lesion arising from the tongue minor salivary glands. After preliminary tests, complete resection was performed and immunohistochemistry (IHC) confirmed the diagnosis of BCA. The postoperative period was uneventful with no signs of recurrence on follow-up. In these rare cases, early detection and differential diagnosis using clinicopathological, histopathological, and IHC analyses play a vital role in achieving better prognosis and therapeutic outcomes.
