摘要

Atypical histiocytic granuloma is an uncommon reactive benign condition that clinically and histologically may mimic malignant neoplasms such as squamous cell carcinoma or lymphoma but tends to regress spontaneously. The lesion has been described in various intra-oral sites, however, involvement of the tongue is rarely reported, with only five cases reported so far. Here, we report a rare case of atypical histiocytic granuloma affecting the lateral border of the tongue in a fifty-six-year-old female patient, with immunohistochemical analysis and an updated literature review.
