Stem Cell Therapy in Oral Surgery: A Key To Unlock Tomorrow’s Surgery
摘要
Stem Cell (SC)-based therapy has been at the forefront of oral surgery in recent times. There is a rapid increase in the role of SC-based therapies in tissue regeneration, thereby opening up the possibility of combining engineering and biology principles and yielding various interesting results. It is also paving the way for improvement in the current status of dental applications. Regenerative dentistry aims to repair, rejuvenate, and restore dental tissues in an optimised way that ensures maximum efficiency and limited liability. The ‘royal’ challenge for regenerative dentistry is to accelerate this idea through high-quality research, clinical conveyance and reviewing the ever-growing literature on our ‘war chests/emporium’ i.e., the dental stem cells.
