Evaluation of Maxillary Sinus Septum and its Prevalence in a Sample of Iraqi Population Utilizing Cone Beam Computed Tomography
摘要
This study evaluates the prevalence and characteristics of maxillary sinus septa (MSS) in the Iraqi population using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). A total of 237 participants (117 male and 120 female) with ages ranging from 20 to 70 years were examined. The results showed a prevalence rate of MSS in the maxilla with full dentation of 74.7%, partially edentulous maxilla of 75%, and completely edentulous maxilla of 72.4%, with significant variation by location and morphology, emphasizing the role of CBCT in surgical planning.
